The AppViewX IT Security Innovation Survey, conducted at RSA Conference 2017 in San Francisco, revealed that nearly half of the respondents either don’t enforce or don’t have an SSH key expiration policy. The survey recorded responses from 160 RSA attendees that include a diverse set of professionals ranging from IT executives to C-suite members who keep up with current security trends.
Lack of proper SSH key management is often the gateway for user access-related security risks. The survey results highlight the compelling need for organizations to put in place processes that proactively prevent SSH key misuse by enforcing controls and monitoring usage.
